Not only has the special issue of Journalism Studies appeared, filled with papers selected from the first two Mapping the Magazine conferences (check out the contents here), there is now a hardback book of the collection. It looks very handsome, in a low key way, and is available from Amazon or directly from Routledge.
There is still not a huge amount published about magazines, so I urge everyone interested in this field to get their institutional libraries to order a copy (or two) ... you know it makes sense!

Journalism Studies Special Magazine Issue
Good - and long awaited - news. The next issue of Journalism Studies will be a special collection of papers from the first and second Mapping the Magazine conferences.
Even better, this collection will be published as a book a few months after the journal appears.
